Haunted helicopters coming to West Chester Oct. 26

WEST CHESTER â€" Halloween hijinks come to West Chester as the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center (AHMEC) hosts Haunted Helicopters on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. Located at 1220 American Boulevard, AHMEC fills its gallery with ghosts, ghouls and goblins galore for an early All Hallow’s Eve event.

“For the first time ever, visitors to the museum will see our helicopters piloted by skeletons and overtaken by spiders,” explained Allison Titman, AHMEC’s Executive Director. “Volunteers in costumes will man treat stations throughout the museum for trick-or-treaters. One helicopter will even offer a slightly spooky walk-through experience.”

The fun evening also features Halloween stories and movies, ghostly music and an entertaining craft activity for kids. Locust Lane Brewery and Chaddsford Winery offer seasonal beverages for adults (additional cost, proof of age required).

“Haunted Helicopters will be a fun, family-friendly event that will give our guests the chance to enjoy themselves and to see the Museum in a new way,” Titman said. “Come in costume and celebrate Halloween with us.”

Admission is $10 for children and students under age 18. Admission is free for accompanying adults. Purchase tickets at the door or online at www.americanhelicopter.museum.
